Chances are your luxury car has its sound system or infotainment package from the sound system extraordinaire Harman International Industries (HAR) company. We believe that Harman operates in a niche field that has impressive exposure to the rebounding auto industry.
The company is in semi-turnaround mode after a very weak 2009. We believe that its operating metrics are rebounding nicely, but its valuation still lags. The company not only has a stronghold on the audio car part market, but it's also breaking into the mobile phone market and tapping emerging markets. With its expanding operating margin and robust revenue growth we see nearly 80% upside to the stock.
Company overview
The company is the leader in sound systems for luxury automobiles with an 80% market share. Its brands include AKG, Harman/Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Lexicon and Mark Levinson. Outside of the car, Harman's products are found in home entertainment systems, theaters, live entertainment venues and recording studios. The company operates via three segments, infotainment, lifestyle and professional, with infotainment being its key segment, accounting for over 50% of revenues. This is key considering the fact that the bustling and rebounding auto market should spur Harman's revenues higher.

This is a logical deal for SKF on multiple fronts. For starters, Kaydon will meaningfully expand the company's U.S. presence - something it could have done on its own eventually, but certainly not without spending money. With that, there is the possibility of using Kaydon's existing U.S. footprint to sell more SKF products and further trouble rivals like RBC Bearings (ROLL) and ITT (ITT).

Spun-off from industrial giant ITT (ITT) a few years ago, Xylem (XYL) could be a great starting point for investors looking at water stocks. Aside from its cool and appropriate name, XYL provides host of equipment — pumps, controllers and filtration devices — for wastewater treatment plants across the globe.

As for the other stocks in the portfolio, you can’t ignore the performance of both Apollo (APO) and ITT Corp. (ITT).

The company has a current ROE of 10.94% which is higher than the industry median and the ones exhibit by Universal American Corp. (UAM), Centene (CNC) and WellPoint (WLP). In general, analysts consider ROE ratios in the 15-20% range as representing attractive levels for investment. So for investors looking those levels or more, Cigna (CI) could be the option. It is very important to understand this metric before investing and it is important to look at the trend in ROE over time.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By rusticnomad]
Brocade Communications (BRCD) is another company that provides solutions similar to EMC, but it is a smaller player. Brocade earns 50% of its total revenue from its core service of storage area networks (SAN). However, it faced a 7% decline in revenue in the second quarter from the prior year period. This can be concerning for investors. With major players like Cisco (CSCO), Brocade faces fierce competition for its core business and the company might be in for tough times.
